The original '60s house, situated in a wooded dune landscape with lots of relief, was aimed at the sunny south side. The residents wanted the house to focus more on the garden (north side) and to create more privacy in relation to the public space.
On the northwest side of the plot, there is a beautiful coniferous woodland. Wonderful to live in with a wonderful forest scent. The transition to this forest is gradual, a gradual transition from private to public. In the house it feels as if the forest is part of the garden. Openings have been saved from the volume where necessary to create light or views.
