A special animal collection requires a special building. The starting point for LimburgHUIS in the GaiaZOO, was the use of natural materials and a minimal environmental impact. The basis of the building is 'Kunraderstone' (from the province of Limburg) and Zwarthout (Naoshima) was used for the top and the door (Marugame). On October 10th 2018, LimburgHUIS was officially opened.
