Commissioned by IABR and the Municipality of Texel, Faro and LA4sale collaborated for a year on the project studio Planet Texel. The result could be seen during the summer of 2014 as part of the exhibition Urban By Nature in the Kunsthal in Rotterdam. Planet Texel stands for Tourism, Ecology X Economy Landscape (where X = sustanability). In a kind of moving Panorama Mesdag it shows how seven Texel Principles, a Texel Toolbox and a Scenery series prepare Texel for a new future. Texel has big ambitions and wants to be a leader in the field of renewable energy, among other things, and new saltwater crops. Texel as a testing ground for the entire planet; test it on Texel.
